2013 International Festival of The Animals in Australia

The International Festival of The Animals will be held in Australia in 2013. Don't forget to put these dates in your diary now. 

At International Festival in France 2010This festival should combine the best of our Australian festivals with the added qualities brought by guests and facilitators from overseas. 

The venue will be Camp Bornhoffen in the beautiful Numinbah Valley in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

This Festival will be open to anyone wishing to attend. The festival  provides opportunities for personal growth in various ways. Our festivals generally offer a light but warm feeling of community without any sense of heavy commitment that is sometimes involved in efforts at community. In the case of the Imagery Festivals, a natural sense of community seems to arise without striving.

November Imagery Weekend

The next imagery event will be a weekend at Camp Bornhoffen from 9-11 November 2012. Arrival will be at 5pm Friday with dinner and an opening circle that evening. We will have workshops on Saturday and on Sunday morning. Like the Mini-Festival last year, individuals can nominate to run workshops and we will have a flexible timetable to accommodate our needs over the weekend. The plan is to have lots of free time to walk and talk as well as having workshop opportunities.

Contact me if you would like to run a workshop. This is an opportunity to trial an idea for a workshop as long as it is relevant to imagery in its many shapes and is experiential rather than lecture style. 

The main hall, the pavillion and the back room will be available as workshop areas.

Another Great Festival

We had another great gathering of people interested in inner growth through various forms of imagery. Here is a picture of participants deeply absorbed in the process of doing calligraphy. This year, it seemed to me that the workshops of Alice and of Purdie and Kerrie added dimensions that feel close to the spirit of what we are trying to do. That is to find ways of lightly, gently and respectfully entering into the deeper apects of who we are as human beings.

The imagery workshops, the sound workshop and Debra's aboriginal spirituality workshop all seemed to flow easily into one another. The workshops provided complementary experiences so that the whole weekend felt more like one unified workshop.Free Entertainment

Needless to say, there was also time for us to "act the maggot" at our evening of expression. Lots of fun and old-fashioned self-entertainment.
